Chapter 1 - New In Town
Bridgeport... Bright lights, big city 'n' all that... And unfortunately for it, where I plan on building my next legacy.
Now, I'm using the term legacy very loosely... And here's why. I do not intend to play by the rules, everything the game has to offer is ripe for the picking, ghosts, gays, moving, not living on f*ck off huge lots with nothing on them, etc. But I don't cheat. Not for money, not for full motives, not for nuffink.
Anyways, on with the show!
Sims are attracted to Bridgeport for a range of reasons: penthouse living, a brilliant nightlife and the prospects of fame and fortune.
Introducing one such sim, Dylan Blake. For more information - soon to include CC list - on our founder see here.
Even though I've had Late Night pretty much since release, I haven't actually had a chance to play Bridgeport properly, so I moved Dylan here into a flat in the centre of town, ready to start his new exciting, successful life.
The elevator, however, had other ideas...
HAH!
After a short (and hilarious) fight with the elevator, Dylan finally managed to check out his new diggs.
Not up to much, eh?
Seem to be good enough for Dylan though...
Some sims are easily impressed, y'know?
Seeing as Dylan is a virtuoso and dreams of being rich and famous, starting a band seemed a logical path for him to follow, so he checked out the local watering hole to recruit some talent.
Spotting Lola Belle across the bar, celebrity wannabe Dylan didn't hesitate to introduce himself.
'Cause, y'know, trying to schmooze A-List celebs is always a good way to get a rung up on the ladder to the stars...
Unfortunately for him though, she wasn't interested.
In fact, I don't even think she noticed him at all, judging by the vacant expression on her big-lipped mug. Probably got botox in her brain by accident or something...
After his rejection by Lola, Dylan returned his attention to the reason he went out. His *cough* MY genius plan for catching a few band members: start jamming on the drums and see who joined him...
It wasn't to long before he was joined by a certain woman in a skimpy outfit...
And a bit of a blonde bombshell over to left there aswell.
What an AWESOME plan, if I do say so myself...
With the hunt for musicians over, Dylan had no trouble recruiting members into his band, Moonlit Mistake. First, Olivia Carlson.
And then, Julianna Summers.
After enjoying a small, yet ridiculously filling bar snack of onion rings, he decided to invite his new band-mates back to his flat for a bit of bonding.
With a bit of effort, Dylan quickly befriended the duo.
Having a good sense of humour helps with that sort of thing.
Being the gentleman he is, Dylan had no qualms about sacrificing his bed for his lady companions.
He ended his first day in Bridgeport, sound asleep on the sofa, with two new friends and goods prospects for the future.
First thing in the morning, Dylan knocked up a nice breakfast for his guests.
Meanwhile, Julianna showed her true, lazy, self-centred colours.
What colours are they? Purple? Blue? Red? Oh, I give up.
And Olivia revealed herself as the moody woman she is.
Sitting down for a group meal, Dylan planned a day of band rehearsal...
But Julianna was having none of it. As soon as she had finished the waffles, she just upped and walked out. Leaving Dylan and Olivia in the lurch.
Never one to be dissuaded, Dylan went ahead and practised his drumming skills anyway, regardless of Mrs Commited's attendance.
After playing alone for about an hour, he was interrupted by Olivia, with fabulously entertaining gossip.
What she called "gossip" anyway. I quote, "Did you hear Kara Kelly got a job?" Sims honestly do fail at gossip don't they?
However this mundane news seemed to send Dylan in to a all-consuming rage!
Oh dear Lord, Kara, why did you have to get that job?! Look what you've done!
Oh wait, never mind, it's just a pillow fight...
False alarm people, nothing to see here.
Awwwww, I love my new legacy founder.
That evening, Dylan and Olivia took to the beach to celebrate their new-found friendship.
But as they sat, taking in the beauty of Bridgeport, a thought slipped through Dylan's mind. Was this the girl he was supposed to be with? Could something important have started tonight?
Unfortunately for their budding romance, Olivia took it upon herself to pass out on the sand.
Moment officially ruined.
With the romantic atmosphere shattered, Dylan and Olivia parted ways as friends - all that they were apparently destined to be for the time being.
Returning home, Dylan was pained by the failure of his evening, but the prospect of a new day was enough to carry to bed.
I just wanted to end the chapter on a nice visual note... Dylan all hot and steamy... ;)
Well that's all for today folks, and I hope you enjoyed the first chapter of The Blake Family Legacy. If you have any thoughts/feelings/comments etc. don't hesitate to let me know. If you would also be so kind as to answer the polls below, I would be very grateful. :D
